SUMMARY:Sunnyside Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Get to know the great Denver neighborhood of Sunnyside while enjoying great music! The 13th annual Sunnyside Music Festival features live entertainment\, local vendors and artisans\, kid attractions\, drink and more! Admission is free to the public. \nMore info: http://www.sunnysidemusicfest.org \n\n\n\n Music Schedule from Festival Website: \n11 am Brittany Williams and the Unstoppable Groove | This year’s Battle of Band winner. Brittany is a singer/songwriter from the neighborhood who has amazing vocals and original tunes. Her band kicks off the event giving everyone a reason to show up early. \n12 pm Conjunto Colores | Denver’s best hometown salsa band under the direction of Francisco Mejia. They are sure to make a hot day hotter with their twelve piece instrumental Latin ensemble. \n1 pm Selasee & The Fafa Family | With songs like “Fly Away” and “African Gate” what could be better than chilling with your coconut rum drink (we’ll literally be selling these) and jamming to some smooth Reggae. \n2 pm Dan Treanor’s Afrosippi Band with Erica Brown | Feeling blue? Colorado’s own legendary blues band will be bringing it with some harp playing and possibly the diddley bow. Don’t know what a diddley bow is\, guess you’ll just have to find out! \n3pm Finnders and Youngberg | Sunnyside Music Festival pays tribute to its roots by featuring Bluegrass at it’s finest with a contemporary edge. This homegrown Fort Collins based group is catching a lot of attention since the recent release of their 2013 album. \n4pm Strange Americans | One of the most anticipated groups of the event! We’ll all look back on this year and say “remember when Strange Americans played in our backyard!” This hardworking “no frills” rock and roll group is guaranteed to please. \n5pm The Other Black | The evening ends with some funk\, soul and do-wop. This colorful collaboration is another group on its way up featuring original tracks and throwback covers. This one you won’t want to miss. \nIn addition to these awesome bands\, the Sunnyside Music Festival will feature over 35 local retail\, service\, nonprofit and food business with a variety of beer and drink options. There will also a full kids area with bouncy castles\, Little Man Ice Cream and a dunk tank!
