Enjoy tons of traditional dance performances\, live music\, delicious food and drink\, plus the chance to peek inside the iconic gold dome (it’s absolutely stunning). \n2016 Festival Dates\nJune 17th\, 18th & 19th  \nHours:\nFriday and Saturday 11am – Midnight\nSunday 11am – 6pm \nMore info: http://www.thegreekfestival.com \nThere is parking in the Cathedral’s lower lot near the East Gate and on Colorado Blvd and Alameda and shuttles will run throughout the day. \nGeneral Admission is $5 per person a day\nFree for children under 12\n$3 for Senior Citizens 65 years and older.\nWeekend passes are $10 and may be purchased prior to the event at the Assumption Cathedral.  \nThere is also valet parking Metropolis Center parking lot\, located west of the festival grounds\, $6 per car 11am to 5pm\, $8 per car 5pm to midnight.  Handicap parking is also available at the Metropolis Center lot.   \nOnly service animals at the Festival please.

One night\, Sophie sees a cloaked giant blowing something through a trumpet into a bedroom window down the street; whereupon the giant notices her and carries her to his homeland of Giant Country. There\, he identifies himself as the Big Friendly Giant\, who\, at night\, blows dreams into the bedrooms of children\, while the other giants are man-eating\, and they prefer children. Because the BFG refuses to eat people or steal food from humans\, he subsists on a revolting vegetable known as a “Snozzcumber”. Registration is NOT required and all ages are invited to join the fun. \nMore info: http://redlineart.org \nSession 1 (June 4th\, 11th and 18th): Hayley Krichels will present Building With Sunshine\, in which families will use the park as inspiration for large scale fabric cyanotypes and fort building.  \nSession 2 (June 25th\, July 2nd and 9th): Rochelle Johnson and Risa Murray will present Painting Your Community\, where families will have the opportunity to paint t-shirts and collaborate on a mural. \nSession 3 (July 16th\, 23rd and 30th): Ramón Bonilla’s People and the Living Architecture will turn families into cities by way of wearable architecture. \nSession 4 (Aug 6th\, 13th and 20th): George P. Perez’s Walk with Me (An exercise in visual guidance) will feature camera obscura helmets\, which distort the wearer’s vision\, requiring them to navigate the world in a different way.
