Speakers will reassess the role of women painters within this movement that has been customarily defined by heroic male painters. \nSusan Landauer\, formerly chief curator of the San Jose Museum of Art\, is an independent art historian and curator. Her books include The San Francisco School of AbstractExpressionism; Elmer Bischoff: The Ethics of Paint; and Richard Diebenkorn: The Ocean Park Series (essayist).
