SUMMARY:Inside the Orchestra: Tiny Tots
DESCRIPTION:Tiny Tots gets children truly “inside the orchestra” by seating the audience on the floor and surrounding them with our 30+ piece professional orchestra. The conductor faces the audience and talk directly to the kids throughout the performance\, asking questions and teaching them about the music as it is playing around them.\n\nDesigned for children six and under\, this 45-minute program gives young ones the chance to interact with the conductor and the musicians and learn about the instruments in the process. Children are encouraged to respond to different elements of the music\, from thinking about how music makes them feel to getting on their feet and moving. They are treated to up-close-and-personal demos by various instruments\, introduced to musical concepts\, emotional understanding of the arts\, and artistic expression. The music selection\, design\, and scripting of Tiny Tots is geared to connect very young children with music – physically\, emotionally\, and mentally.\n\nChildren are also introduced to instrument “families” and are encouraged to take a closer look at the instruments and ask questions of the musicians after the concert has concluded. The tour will touch on the turmoil and triumphs of early Queen City families like the Tabors\, as well as such political powerhouses as former slave and Colorado pioneer Clara Brown. \nAn October tradition\, these moonlit excursions focus on secret history\, not scares. Silas Soule and Gov.
