SUMMARY:National Theatre Live: Frankenstein
DESCRIPTION:Back by Popular Demand! Catch both versions if you can! \nVersion 1 (Cumberbatch as Dr. Frankenstein) will screen Wed\, Oct 26th at 7pm and Sun\, Oct 30th at 1pm. \nVersion 2 (Cumberbatch as the Monster) will screen Thurs\, Oct 27th at 7pm and Sun\, Oct 30th at 3:30pm. \nFrankenstein enjoyed a sell-out run at the National Theatre\, and went on to win awards including the 2012 Olivier Award for Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller. \nOscar-winner Danny Boyle (Trainspotting\, Slumdog Millionaire) directs a sensational production with Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek: Into Darkness\, BBC’s Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting\, CBS’s Elementary) alternating roles as Victor Frankenstein and his creation. \nChildlike in his innocence but grotesque in form\, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes\, the friendless Creature\, increasingly desperate and vengeful\, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. \nUrgent concerns of scientific responsibility\, parental neglect\, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic gothic tale. \nAs a part of the National Theatre Live series\, “Frankenstein” was recorded live in London. Sie FilmCenter is the exclusive Denver-area venue for this thrilling series of great plays. \n[$15 – $18] \nMore info and tickets: http://secure.denverfilm.org/tickets/film.aspx?id=25834

SUMMARY:Colorado Ballet Academy Sunday Salon
DESCRIPTION:The October Colorado Ballet Academy Sunday Salon will feature choreography by Viki Psihoyos and Jayne Persch. The concept of the “salon” is based on the French model of performing works in an intimate environment that encourages dialogue between the audience and artists. Each program will include original solos\, duets and ensemble choreography from a rotating roster of choreographers participating in the Academy fall and spring New Works classes with our Pre-professional Division. \nThe intent of these salons is to support the creation of new choreography\, introduce the community to dance in an informal setting and foster creativity. These performances allow our Pre-professional Division students the chance to work with a wide variety of choreographers and experience many styles and processes.  \nAdmission at the door includes coffee and muffins! \n[$5] \nMore info: http://coloradoballet.org/academy/academy-auditions-performances
