SUMMARY:The Crud
DESCRIPTION:An absurd fairy tale about both the crud on your floor and the crud in your head. \nThe Crud follows the repetitive days of Dear Deer\, Barely Bear\, and Broken Baby Doll Detective as they try to navigate their boredom. Nothing is important and everything is of the utmost importance. They pass their time reciting exactly what is happening\, watching their Great Pile of Crud\, and eating jelly toast. Thanks to the forgettable fellow in the corner\, they also get to ponder whether anything is worth remembering.\n \nThis is the final full-length production of Buntport Theater Company’s 16th Season and was based on the contents of a storage locker that Buntport purchased at an auction. Like on the television show Storage Wars\, Buntport bid on an abandoned locker. Unlike the show\, they are not re-selling the contents\, but are instead making a play with them. \n[$0 – $20] \nMore info and tickets: http://buntport.com/2016/08/original-show-44/

SUMMARY:City Park Jazz: Pete Wernick & FLEXIGRASS
DESCRIPTION:City Park Jazz produces 10 FREE jazz concerts each summer in City Park.\nWhether you’re coming for the music\, food\, or friends\, City Park Jazz is the\nground upon where community is built. \nPete Wernick & FLEXIGRASS is a supercharged blend of bluegrass with classic jazz and “Dr. Banjo” originals. The all-star group blazes new trails everywhere they play\, as young vibraphone master Greg Harris and hot clarinetist Bill Pontarelli trade licks with Wernick and the band’s tight arrangements provide many surprises. Joan Wernick’s sparkling vocals range from soulful bluegrass to stylish jazz and Kris Ditson (drums) and Roger Johns (bass) provide a strong pulse that doesn’t overpower\, but pops and sizzles! \nSurprising traditionalists is nothing new to bluegrass Grammy-nominated Wernick. The Hot Rize banjoist and 15-year president of the International Bluegrass Music Association is “among the most creative and just plain fun musicians in (blue\, new\, jazz) grass” according to Bluegrass Unlimited magazine. \nBased on a deep understanding of musical tradition\, Wernick follows the lead of important musical innovators by fusing compatible sounds and building an original and entertaining set of sounds. The band has outlasted the skeptics and the audiences roar their approval! \nCheck out their Website \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n[Free] \nMore info: http://cityparkjazz.org/2017-calendar
