SUMMARY:Haunting: Victoria Lundy on Theremin
DESCRIPTION:Fresh City Life is pleased to host the library’s first theremin concert. This rare instrument was invented by Leon Theremin nearly 100 years ago and is one of the oldest electronic musical instruments. The fascinating interaction between the player and the instrument is a marvel; the musician’s every motion controls and affects the pitch and volume. Victoria Lundy takes her audience on a journey under the earth\, detouring into more traditional music\, then into the air and out into space\, exploring the expressive qualities of the theremin. \nFree event. \nMore info: https://www.denverlibrary.org/fresh

SUMMARY:Chamberlin Observatory Open House
DESCRIPTION:Join the Denver Astrological society for one of their monthly open houses at the historic Chamberlin Observatory. During the event\, guests can view the heavens through the observatory’s famous 20-inch aperture Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refractor by checking in at the desk on the main floor of the observatory and paying a $2 per-person fee or $5 per family. If the weather is cloudy and not suitable for viewing with the observatory’s telescope\, there is a reduced $1 per-person entry fee to the observatory. In addition to touring the observatory\, the monthly open houses are a great time to interact with members of the DAS and get answers to questions about your telescope (feel free to bring your scope to set up outside of the Observatory as many DAS members do) or anything you see in the sky! Chamberlin Observatory Open House info.

SUMMARY:Holiday ManCraft
DESCRIPTION:“If Martha Stewart and Chuck Norris had a love child – it’d grow up to become ManCraft.” \nWhat is ManCraft? Ink Lounge curates local vendors who are all men (and some men/women teams) that make super fine unique items. And of course being an early evening/night event it also comes complete with tasty adult beverages to sip as you shop. \nFrom the organizers: Not only will the venue be filled with nearly 80 vendors – we continue to add in some shenanigans to complete the silliness and manliness of it all. Here’s a list of some additional things we’re currently working on for this year’s event: Get Your Shot with Porch Drinking Santa * Ratio Beer on Tap * Churn & Burn Food Truck * Pop-Up Barber Shop * Heaps of Free Parking * Annual Vendor Whisker Wars * and of course free ManSacks for the first 50 attendees. Don’t forget the added benefit of being able to view the collection of vintage vehicles for free at the Forney Museum. \nMore info and a list of vendors: http://inklounge.com/holiday-mancraft.html
