Come celebrate the 29th annual Colorado Black Art Festival showcasing the rich and creative talents of local, regional, and national African Americans in art and culture. Two stages will present jazz, blues, soul, gospel, hip-hop, reggae, world beat, and traditional African music, in addition to dance performances ranging from African drum and dance to interpretive dance. Both local and visiting African American visual artists will showcase paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, glass, carvings, fiber arts, and more. Other attractions include the popular Boogaloo Celebration Parade, “Watu Sokoni” (People’s Marketplace), Children’s Pavilion for Art and Learning, Joda Village Compound, Art Garden, Health Highway Pavilion, House II House (DJs), Scavenger Hunt, Community Drum Circle, Food Court, and ‘Old Skool’ Car Club Exhibition and the return of the Joda Village Compound.
This festival is free and open to all.
