Artful Insight–Albert Bierstadt

Albert Bierstadt, namesake of one of Colorado’s 14-ers is the subject of this Artful Insight. The Hudson River School artist traveled throughout Colorado and the West eventually becoming known for his sublime western landscapes, six of which are on display at the museum. Bierstadt had a deep connection to the western landscape which is evident in how he refers to the West, “man is so fortunate to dwell in this American Garden of Eden.”

Guests may arrive early to reserve their seats. The talk will begin at 3:00pm and last approximately 1 hour. Artful Insights are limited to a small number of visitors and advance reservations are highly recommended, as programs often sell out. Tickets are not refundable for sold-out events. No children under 8.
