Dr. Sketchy’s Does Political Satire

FREE and open to the public!

6-7pm: This special edition of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School will feature poses that echo political cartoons and focus on the current presidential campaign. Event attendees are invited to join the sketch session and create (paper and drawing tools provided), or just watch as Dr. Sketchy’s artist capture the models on paper.

7:15pm: Hear from Michelle Baldwin a.k.a. Vivienne VaVoom, Lynda White a.k.a Peggy Tulane, and CVA’s own Lauren Barnett in an informal artist discussion.

Known for her “Timeless Tease” style, Vivienne VaVoom has performed around the country and the world, including Miss Exotic World, Tease-O-Rama, New York Burlesque Fest, the Helsinki Burlesque Fest and Miss Burlesque New Zealand.

Peggy Tulane has been performing burlesque and comedy for over ten years. Her characters range from Mormon virgins to Hillary Clinton as well as pissed-off lovers and potatoes.

Lauren Barnett is a comic artist who drew a series entitled #stripperproblems for Burlesque Beat from 2013-14.
