‘duct-work Event: A Transformation of the I-70 Viaduct

Denver Arts and Venues, together with local sponsors, has provided funding for a group of sixteen local artists to paint murals under the viaduct between Brighton Boulevard and York Street from Sept. 27 through Oct. 1. Participating artists include Jesse Frazier, Paige Madden, Yiannis Bellis, Chris Haven, Onver Macias, Elvis Nunez, Giovanni Sanchez, Robin Munro, Sandra Fettingis, Gamma Gallery, Thomas Evans, Scot Lefavor, Noah Baker, Ariel Kiskiras, Paul Ramirez and Demi DeHerrera. The project provides an opportunity to transform the dark viaduct into a work of art for the remaining years before its demolition. On Saturday, Oct. 1, the artists will be on site completing their work and the public is invited to stop by and see the transformation.
