The Evolving Urban Fabric of Denver’s River North District

May 9, 2017 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

History Colorado hosts graduate students from the University of Colorado Denver’s College of Architecture and Planning as they reveal how the urban fabric of Denver’s booming River North (RiNo) district has evolved from its 19th century industrial roots to a 21st century mixed-use arts district. The students will share the environmental, cultural and economic forces that have transformed RiNo over the decades, the role of “adaptive reuse” (reclaiming old buildings for new purposes) in the district’s 150-year transformation, and take a peek into the future RiNo of 2037.

[$4 – $5]
