EXPERIENCE 1968 – Free Festival of Art & Dance

August 9, 2014 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

From the event organizer: In the summer of 1968 a group of artists created large-scale, minimalist sculptures for Denver’s Burns Park. Celebrating these bold, colorful monuments of modernity, six contemporary artists will create temporary structures or performance in response to the original works that are still in place today. Witness the artists in their creative process as their ephemeral installations take shape over the course of the event. Bring a picnic and a blanket and join us for this day of art, music, and kids’ activities with friends and family. This one-day event is free and open to the public. Participating artists: Trine Bumiller, Claudia Mastrobuono, Nicole Banowetz, Matt Scobey, Nikki Pike, Tara Rynders. Parking: small lot located on the south end of the park, on Alameda.  Additional parking will be available in the northwest corner of the PetSmart parking lot.
