Feminism & Co.: Activism: Women + Hunger

March 3, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Activism: Women + Hunger:

Hunger Free Colorado’s project “Through My Lens” provides cameras to women to document their lives, using art as a means to illustrate the very real struggle of Coloradans who don’t have sufficient access to nutritious food. This project helps illustrate the struggles of the thousands of men and women who go hungry each year. Hunger Free Colorado Executive Director Kathy Underhill and Program Manager Sarah Skeen talk about about the project and how hunger impacts lives and communities.

What is Feminism & Co.? It’s a program series from the Museum of Contemporary Art that explores contemporary culture through issues relating to women and gender. With film screenings, creative performances, lectures, and panel discussions, these evenings address women’s (and men’s) complicated relationship to art, politics, and sexuality.
