Feminism & Co.: The Erotics of Dance

March 24, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Erotics of Dance:

Dancer and choreographer Gesel Mason presents antithesis, a dance work-in-progress, inspired by the writing of Audre Lorde. antithesis explores erotic dancing as a source of power and creative possibility. Working with performers from both the postmodern and erotic dance world–including burlesque and pole dancers–Mason crafts a work that separates the erotic from the pornographic, embracing dance as an elemental form of female expression.
