Food Lover’s Book Club: Cookies (and a cookie exchange!)

This month Ross-Cherry Creek Library is doing something different—something more interactive than ever before. Award-winning food writer and 5280 contributing editor Amanda M. Faison is hosting a cookie exchange. That’s right, she’ll bring cookies, you’ll bring cookies and everyone will go home with a bounty of goodies. Bake your favorite treat (gluten, gluten-free, vegan, bathed in butter…all are welcome!) and bring a dozen to share. This sweet scene will yield the ideal platform to discuss the beauty of this cherished baked good. Guest expert and cookie savant Kristy Greenwood of Highland’s Victory Love + Cookies will join Faison to discuss technique, recipes, and, perhaps the most exciting new cookbook of the year: Dorie’s Cookies by James Beard-winning chef Dorie Greenspan.
