Light the Lights

One of the holiday season’s longest running traditions, the 9NEWS Light the Lights event takes place at the City & County Building, where 585 energy-efficient LED lights and more than 2,000 feet of LED rope lights will once again transform the structure into one of the most popular holiday lighting displays in the region. Performances will entertain the crowd from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017, ending with a countdown to the lighting ceremony at approximately 6:45 pm.

Those unable to experience the festivities in person, can watch a live broadcast of the lighting ceremony on 9NEWS from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The 9NEWS Light the Lights event coincides with the Downtown Denver Grand Illumination, a collective effort of the Downtown Denver Partnership, the Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, Downtown Denver Events, Inc., 9NEWS, the LoDo District, Inc. and the Regional Transportation District.
