Musica de las Americas

The Colorado Chamber Players will perform a free chamber music concert with five musicians, Musica de las Americas, for flute and string quartet. The hour long program encompasses the amazing variety of music and ethnicity from North, Central and South America, and will appeal to music lovers of all ages.

The CCP will perform music of South American composers Alberto Ginastera and Astor Piazzolla; American composers Maria Newman and Mark Carlson; excerpts from Dvorak’s American quartet, written in Spillville, Iowa; and Mexican folk songs.
