On Shade: Curators Discuss Clyfford Still and Mark Bradford

This informal conversation will delve into the issues presented in the exhibition Shade: Clyfford Still/Mark Bradford. Abstract expressionism, which some consider an outmoded, near-classical movement from another century, has relevance for Mark Bradford in today’s art world. Hart and Sobel will shed light on this unlikely pairing, while also discussing the tenuous connections between art and politics, and Bradford’s work in the context of his contemporaries.
