A great city needs a great transportation system in order to thrive. Whether you drive a car, ride the bus, take a train, walk or cycle, the quality of our city’s roads, bridges and public transportation affects us all. Stand Up For Transportation Day is a national advocacy day sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and transportation agencies nationwide to draw attention to the need for increased federal funding for our nation’s transportation infrastructure. In Denver, a parade of vehicles and supporters will proceed down the 16th Street Mall from Market Street Plaza to Union Station at 10a where a rally will take place (free rally towels will be provided). Can’t make it to the event? Show your support by adding your name to this petition asking congress to pass a multi-year bill that provides dedicated funding to pay for current and future transportation improvements.
