The Horse: The Epic History of Our Noble Companion

November 16, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Journey through the 56 million-year history of the horse with journalist and equestrienne Wendy Williams. She will share stories of the deep evolutionary fellowship between people and horses, a complex relationship that has included hunting, taming, and veneration. You’ll travel the world as you hear about the Takhi horses of Mongolia, the Garrano horses of Galicia, the famous Lipizzaners of Vienna, and the free-roaming mustangs in the Wyoming mountains.  Williams is the author of The Horse: The Epic History of Our Noble Companion, a revelatory account of the animal who has been at our side through the ages.
