WWII from Coloradans Who Lived It

May 25, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

What more fitting way to observe Memorial Day than by listening to the recollections of those who have defended our country during a time of need, World War II.

From the History Colorado Website: In Sterling Heroes of World War II – As It Was Lived, In Their Own Words, 36 veterans from northeast Colorado share wartime experiences that today pre-date nine in 10 living Americans. With the 70th anniversary of victory over Germany and Japan upon us, their stories remind all what it took to defeat global tyranny. Dr. John Elliff and Denny Dressman collaborated on this microcosm of hometown heroes who served in all branches of the military and in all theaters of action. They’ll discuss the sometimes poignant, sometimes harrowing, sometimes humorous – but always readable – individual recollections of that pivotal time: As It Was Lived, In Their Own Words. As Dressman wrote in the book’s ending note: “…Thanks to the Sterling Heroes for sharing, and to Dr. Elliff for asking them to.”

Tickets: Members $4, nonmembers $5. Buy online or by calling 303-866-2394.
