A casual family-friendly gathering on the lawn at Cramner Park that starts at 6p and goes until the grand finale of the Glendale fireworks, which are visible from the park. The Denver Municipal Brass Band will play patriotic, jazz and popular music until the fireworks begin around 9p. Sweet and savory food trucks will be on site, but feel free to bring your own picnic baskets and beverages, along with lawn chairs, blankets and games. [Free]
SAT 7/1, 5p – 10p (last entry at 9p) | Four Mile Historic Park, 715 S. Forest St.
Enjoy old-fasioned games, historic demonstrations, live music, horse-drawn wagon rides and more. Food and drink will be available for purchase from food trucks and a beer garden. Bring a blanket and stay to watch the Glendale fireworks show. FYI: No pets, outside food or beverages, smoking or flammables. [Free]
MON 7/3, 8p – 10p | Civic Center Park
Head to Civic Center Park at 8p to enjoy a concert featuring patriotic and contemporary favorites from Soul X and 101st Army Concert Band from Buckley Air Force Base, accompanied by a light show display on the Denver City & County Building and dazzling fireworks finale. Lawn seating available on first-come, first-served basis. Takes place rain or shine. [Free]
TUE 7/4, 10a – 12p | Warren St. between Milwaukee & Fillmore
Handmade non-motorized floats parade along Warren Street between Milwaukee and Fillmore starting promptly at 10 a.m. Festivities run until noon. Music by the VFW Band and a fire truck is on hand. Refreshments for sale. [Free]
TUE 7/4, 1:30p – 3p | 23rd Ave. between Dexter & Krameria
The northeast Denver tradition starts at 1:30 p.m. and runs on 23rd Ave. from Dexter St. to Krameria St. Includes floats, bicycles, costumed characters, classic cars, a marching band and more. The parade ends about 3 p.m. at the Kearney Street Fair on the 2200 block of Kearney with food, live music, kids’ activities and more. [Free]
TUE 7/4, 9a – 12p | Fountain Pavilion at Central Park, 8601 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Start with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. ($5/adults, $3/children or family 4-pack for $12) followed by an old-fashioned parade with bikes, trikes, wagons and scooters beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Fountain Pavilion in Central Park. [Free; Pancakes for purchase]
