Broken Bone Bathtub

October 25, 2018

I washed a stranger’s hair last night as she sat naked in this bathtub. A dense layer of white foam cloaked her body; bubbles floated down from overhead landing softly in my hair; and she sang a sweet song from childhood. Immersive theater and small, intimate artistic performances like Broken Bone Bathtub have a special magic all their own that’s disarming, enchanting and powerfully reminds us of our common humanity. I highly recommend getting a ticket to see Broken Bone Bathtub while it’s in town (they just extended the run until 9/30!). The premise of the show is simple, but the experience is beyond words.

But wait, you say, I don’t know anything about teaching a kid to read! No problem. At each tutoring session with Reading Partners, you’ll receive a complete packet with a step-by-step lesson plan and all the materials you’ll need. Truly, if you can read, you can become a reading tutor with Reading Partners. Learn more: readingpartners.org/location/colorado/

Neighborhood Ties: Capitol Hill

"I don't think you can get any more centrally located than Cap Hill. I park my car on Friday and I very rarely turn it on before Monday. You've got the whole package here, there are singles and families; there are so many places you can walk to and there are so many events going on all the time."  Continue Reading
