Artist Cynthia Gutierrez’s work creates monuments to histories that exist somewhere between reality and fiction. During her time in Denver, she will lead two workshops that build on her own working process to create new works. On Thursday, December 14th, curator Patrick Charpenel is joined by exhibiting artist Eduardo Sarabia to discuss the exhibition Saber Acomodar. The two will talk about the culture of Guadalajara, Jalisco, and how the city’s unique relationship with artisans in the region allows contemporary artists a freedom to create using ateliers as partners in production.
