FIELD TRIP: Dikeou Collection

Discover a hidden Denver gem! The Dikeou Collection is a Contemporary Art Collection in Downtown Denver that was established in 1998 by siblings, Devon Dikeou and Pany Dikeou, and features works by approximately 30 international artists.

This place is an experience. After entering the building at 1615 California, one takes an old elevator up to the fifth floor and when the doors open it feels like you’re a world away from the busy energy of modern life that’s playing out on the 16th Street Mall below. Is this the 1940s? The 1930s? The retro style of the space is disarming and provides a fascinating counterbalance to the very fresh contemporary art, which is displayed in a series of converted offices.
