Historical Craft Society – Pumpkin Carving

October 21, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Come carve with master pumpkin carver John Bardeen!

John is a passionate crafter who has been carving for 65 years. During this Historical Craft Society session you will learn the carving technique invented by the Bardeens, as well as John’s many tips and tricks, while using tools created for their Denver-based company, Grampa Bardeen’s. We will provide patterns based on items from the History Colorado collection, and pulled from Colorado history. You bring the pumpkin and the desire to learn from a master carver, and we provide the rest. If you’re interested in taking a tour of the beautiful, historic Byers-Evans House, come at 12:30 or stay after the program!

All carvers welcome, for our younger carvers (age 6-12), we recommend carving with an adult.

[$8 – $10]
