Mindbender Mansion at Denver Museum of Nature and Science is SO MUCH FUN! There are puzzles and games of all varieties from 4-person pinball, to crazy cafeteria trays on a conveyor belt (we couldn’t stop playing this game until we had passed all three speed levels!), to classic brain teasers like number puzzles and knots to untie. People of all ages and abilities will find something to do in this exhibit that features dozens of different stations. Don’t miss your chance to play! Mindbender Mans  Continue Reading

A Christmas Carol

December 5, 2018

Is it going too far to say my year wouldn’t feel complete without seeing “A Christmas Carol” at the Denver Center? I don’t think so. Our family looks forward to this production each year, and every year, I find new meaning in this classic tale. Poignant, thought-provoking and joyous, the Denver Center production balances the darkness of the story with a Scrooge who is frequently humorous even when faced with the profound teachings of the ghosts who visit him. The music, singing, dancing and radia  Continue Reading

Blossoms of Light

December 5, 2018

What is it about lights on a chilly night?! There’s such wondrous magic to wandering through a landscape of lights on a winter evening. Blossoms of Light Denver Botanic Gardens is a favorite family tradition for us. The event changes a bit each year, so there’s something new to see even if you’ve been before. Evenings often sell out, so buying tickets ahead of time is a good idea. Share an experience and make some memories! Runs nightly (yes, Xmas Eve, Xmas and NYE too) 5p-9p now through January  Continue Reading

Meet: BANNERS | Visit: Dikeou Collection  Continue Reading

The Constant Wife

October 25, 2018

Snappy and charming, "The Constant Wife," now playing at Denver Center, is a delightful evening of theater that will leave you wishing there was a sequel so you could continue to follow the adventures of the ever-so-savvy lead character, Constance. Set in 1920s London, the play is a fine example of a comedy of manners, a satire designed to critique societal norms, and draws the audience in with quick dialogue and amusing plots twists. If you love 1940s movies with well-crafted dialogue and  Continue Reading

Broken Bone Bathtub

October 25, 2018

I washed a stranger’s hair last night as she sat naked in this bathtub. A dense layer of white foam cloaked her body; bubbles floated down from overhead landing softly in my hair; and she sang a sweet song from childhood. Immersive theater and small, intimate artistic performances like Broken Bone Bathtub have a special magic all their own that’s disarming, enchanting and powerfully reminds us of our common humanity. I highly recommend getting a ticket to see Broken Bone Bathtub while it’s in tow  Continue Reading

Vietgone

October 25, 2018

This show has everything. Even ninjas. Like a wild motorcycle road trip through comedy, romance, hardship and history, “Vietgone” is a memorable ride that somehow combines a powerful commentary on Western perceptions, the refugee experience and a challenging historical period with humor so fresh and fun you’ll be laughing until tears roll down your cheeks. Until the scene changes and you find yourself tearing up from the touching relationships between the characters and their deep revelations abo  Continue Reading
